BioRay Pharmaceutical is the overseas operation agency of Shanghai Pharmaceutical Group's antibiotic division in the United States. It is a commercial-stage biopharmaceutical company dedicated to the discovery, development, production, and commercialization of drugs for immune-mediated diseases and cancer. In 2019, private equity firm PAG acquired the company with a $540 million investment (holding 58% ownership), gaining control of BioRay, marking the largest private equity investment in China's biotechnology industry to date. Currently, BioRay Pharmaceutical has become a reliable supplier of active pharmaceutical ingredients, chemicals, and nutritional additives globally. Its offices are located in Beijing and the United States, while its manufacturing plants are in Liaoning, Shanghai, and Xinjiang in China.
