Innovative Therapies Developer for Neurodegenerative Diseases

Basic Information

Synaptogenix is a clinical-stage biotechnology company dedicated to discovering and developing targeted therapies for neurodegenerative diseases and developmental disorders using Bryostatin-1 and its analogs. Synaptogenix has conducted both clinical and preclinical studies on its lead therapeutic candidate, Bryostatin-1. Preclinical studies have also demonstrated the regenerative mechanism of action of Bryostatin-1 in rare diseases such as Fragile X Syndrome, as well as other neurodegenerative conditions like multiple sclerosis, stroke, and traumatic brain injury. The U.S. Food and Drug Administration (FDA) has granted Synaptogenix’s Bryostatin-1 Orphan Drug Designation for the treatment of Fragile X Syndrome. Bryostatin-1 has been tested in over 1,500 individuals in cancer research, establishing a large safety database that will further inform clinical trial design.
