Xploro

Xploro develops mobile applications that use augmented reality, gaming, and artificial intelligence to deliver health information to patients, reducing the stress and anxiety associated with hospitalization, improving health literacy, and promoting better engagement with healthcare services. We started with children suffering from cancer, but our goal is to create a health information platform for any patient, of any age, with any condition, anywhere in the world. Xploro® aims to reduce stress and anxiety and improve clinical outcomes for children by putting health information into their hands, using language they understand and interaction paradigms they are familiar with. By reducing fear related to procedures, Xploro® can also help decrease repeat procedures and shorten treatment times. A recent clinical study published in the Journal of Medical Research showed that patients using Xploro® experienced a statistically significant reduction in procedural anxiety, as well as a statistically significant increase in patient satisfaction and understanding of procedures.
