Capsigen's proprietary Transcription Reprogramming-directed AAV Evolution (TRADE™) technology eliminates background noise and effectively identifies fully functional capsids, designed to meet complex disease-specific transduction profiles. This approach uses cell type-specific non-coding mRNA expression as a readout to guide the rapid evolution of AAV capsids. Capsid engineering in any animal species without the need for sorting or expressing immunogenic capsid proteins to isolate target cells is possible, offering sophisticated or challenging criteria that other engineering platforms cannot provide.
