BrainMARC was founded in 2013 by Dr. Goded Shahaf and Dr. Yael Rozen. BrainMARC is developing a digital platform for cognitive remediation that utilizes the company's Brain Engagement Index (BEI) technology. BrainMARC's proprietary algorithms are designed to extract the BEI, which can indicate a patient’s level of attention during cognitive exercises. The company’s platform has demonstrated significant impact on the treatment of cognitive impairments and has been validated in hundreds of patients in clinical settings across the United States, Canada, Europe, and Israel. The company’s algorithm development is based on 20 years of research in psychology, mathematics, signal processing, and neural networks (starting with laboratory cultures of rat neurons), as well as extensive clinical studies in recent years.
