Entera Bio is a subsidiary of DNA Biomedical Solutions Ltd. The company is dedicated to developing oral delivery methods for macromolecules and biologics as an alternative to injections and intravenous administration, with its lead drug candidate targeting the treatment of hypoparathyroidism. Entera Bio is currently conducting clinical trials on its proprietary technology, which enables the oral delivery of macromolecules and biologics while enhancing their absorption in the gastrointestinal tract. Entera Bio's technology addresses two major challenges associated with the oral administration of macromolecule APIs (active pharmaceutical ingredients). Most macromolecules cannot be administered orally because they are not easily absorbed by the gastrointestinal tract and are rapidly degraded by numerous enzymes and acids present in the gut.
