Monopar Therapeutics is a clinical-stage biopharmaceutical company focused on developing proprietary therapies aimed at extending life or improving the quality of life for cancer patients. The company is reprogramming regulatory T cells (Tregs) residing in the tumor microenvironment, and the reprogrammed Tregs lose their immunosuppressive function, triggering localized inflammation, which in turn activates the patient's own immune response to fight cancer. We have found that Tregs in the tumor microenvironment are more susceptible to reprogramming than those in healthy tissues.
