Tesseract Health's mission is to democratize healthcare and improve lives by leveraging the rich health information found in the human eye. Tesseract is developing a portable, affordable device for monitoring and preventing diseases. Tesseract believes that the best way to predict the future is to create it, and the retina will become the new non-invasive diagnostic platform of the 21st century. The Tesseract iC Platform (not yet approved by the U.S. FDA) is designed to diagnose various diseases without drawing blood. The platform combines a new chemical sensor array, imaging technology, and multiple dimensions of artificial intelligence to image the retina, the only part of the human body where arteries, veins, capillaries, and nerves can be directly observed. The Tesseract iC Platform is a binocular ocular imaging device that is portable, cost-effective, and easy to operate, supporting a post-COVID world focused on cloud-connected telemedicine. Tesseract plans to introduce a new branch of diagnostics, merging the best of imaging and laboratory medicine, which will be the world’s first to support screening, diagnosis, monitoring, and treatment across multiple clinical fields, extending far beyond ophthalmology to primary care, cardiology, neurology, and more.
