Cambridge Healthcare Innovations Limited (CHI) focuses on providing innovative products in the healthcare and medical device industries. Pressurized Metered-Dose Inhalers (pMDIs) are currently the mainstay of global asthma and COPD management, with approximately 940 million units produced annually. Over the past 60 years, their design has hardly changed, and more than 90% of users are unable to operate them correctly. Additionally, environmental pressures are mounting due to the use of HFA (hydrofluoroalkane) propellants, which contribute to global warming, as efforts are made to reduce the prevalence of pMDIs. CHI will address these issues by creating a reusable clinical device that incorporates its αeolus technology.
