Olgram

Olgram is a biotechnology company that develops marine molecules for the prevention and control of chronic bacterial infections. The company has two product candidates targeting infections: 1) The first was discovered in algae with immunostimulatory properties; 2) The second has antibacterial properties. Olgram will first focus on cystic fibrosis, an orphan disease where 35% of patients suffer from chronic Pseudomonas aeruginosa infections (a pathogenic bacterium) in adulthood, leading to premature death. In the second phase, the company will target hospital-acquired infections in immunocompromised patients following head trauma.
