Retrotope is a clinical-stage biopharmaceutical company dedicated to developing first-class therapies for degenerative diseases, ranging from orphan neurodegenerative indications to large-market degenerative conditions. The company leverages its proprietary drug discovery platform to create novel treatments for diseases. Retrotope is pioneering a new class of drugs composed of proprietary compounds that aim to treat degenerative diseases and improve quality of life as people age. Its first drug, currently under clinical evaluation, is being assessed for two rare neurodegenerative diseases—Friedreich's Ataxia and Infantile Neuroaxonal Dystrophy—as a rapid proof-of-concept in humans and to support the use of this drug class in other indications.
