Basic Information
Mitokinin is a developer of small-molecule therapies aimed at treating neurodegenerative and mitochondrial diseases. Mitokinin's primary novel PINK1 compounds selectively increase the activity of PINK1, a key regulator of mitochondrial quality control genetically associated with Parkinson's disease. By enhancing PINK1 activity, Mitokinin aims to address mitochondrial dysfunction, which underlies the pathogenesis and progression of Parkinson's disease.
