VLP BioTech, Inc., a privately held preclinical biotechnology company specializing in epitope vaccine design, announced that it has developed a therapeutic vaccine for the treatment of chronic HBV/HDV infections, with the aim of developing highly effective and low-cost epitope-based malaria vaccines to combat *Plasmodium falciparum*. VLP BioTech has established a virus-like particle (VLP) platform based on the woodchuck hepatitis virus core antigen (WHcAg). The company will carry out a series of research and development projects under the guidance of Leidos to support the ongoing efforts of the U.S. Agency for International Development's Malaria Vaccine Development Program (MVDP) in developing an efficient and cost-effective malaria vaccine.
