Banjo Health is developing a prior authorization decision support platform for health plans and pharmacy benefit managers (collectively referred to as "payers"). We leverage artificial intelligence and machine learning to customize the platform according to each payer’s specific prior authorization criteria. By integrating with healthcare providers’ electronic health records, we are able to extract prescriptions directly from prescription records, enabling accurate decisions while reducing the administrative burden on both payers and healthcare provider staff. This effectively reduces decision-making time, enhances member satisfaction, and improves clinical and cost outcomes. Banjo Health was established to greatly enhance the efficiency of the prior authorization (PA) management process through artificial intelligence. In recent years, rule-based decision tools have helped payers and providers accelerate PA management, but the Banjo team believes that even higher efficiency and accuracy can be achieved through AI. The company’s platform has been built by a team of experienced clinicians and domain experts, providing customized solutions that improve patient care from top to bottom, reducing inefficiencies for health plans, PBMs, employer groups, and providers.
