LPixel, Inc. is a spin-off from the University of Tokyo and a leader in advanced image analysis software and systems tailored for life science research. Focused on integrating top-tier technology into its services, LPixel is dedicated to maximizing research efficiency and bringing innovation to the research field. LPixel was founded in March 2014 by three members of the same research laboratory at the University of Tokyo. Since the establishment of the lab in 2000, LPixel has been at the forefront of imaging analysis technology in the bioscience domain. LPixel has participated in three major national projects, including ImPACT led by the Cabinet Office, CREST organized by the Japan Science and Technology Agency, and various other projects initiated by the Ministry of Economy, Trade and Industry to support the advancement of strategic core technologies. LPixel’s strengths lie in its unified imaging technology and expertise in the life sciences, giving rise to IMACEL, a cloud-based image analysis platform for life science images, and a medical image analysis diagnostic support system aimed at detecting cancer and diseases.
