Ambulero

Ambulero, Inc. is a cell and gene therapy spin-off company from the University of Miami, focusing on developing new therapies for vascular diseases. Our cell therapy program uses engineered stromal cells to express a cell adhesion molecule called E-selectin. We refer to these cells as "overloaded" stromal cells because they promote abnormal tissue repair in animal models. In our gene therapy approach, we simplify the method by using established gene therapy vectors to directly deliver the E-selectin molecule to the injured tissue.
