Mind the Byte is a bioinformatics company that develops and provides computational drug discovery software using big data and machine learning (AI) methods. We collaborate with partners in a consulting capacity or offer easy-to-use Software as a Service (SaaS) packages, enabling customers to apply high-performance computing platforms flexibly on a pay-per-use basis without investing in hardware or software licenses.Mind the Byte has developed a suite of versatile applications utilizing cloud computing, lowering the barrier to entry for this technology, such as:i) Virtual analysis methods to facilitate target and mechanism-of-action identification from phenotypic screening hits or natural products with reported activities.ii) Virtual screening methods to identify compounds acting on specific targets by mining internal or commercial compound libraries, expanding hit or lead series, and repurposing known drugs.iii) MtBDock, a fully integrated docking protocol that reduces the number of false positives by incorporating all prosthetic groups and conformational minimization.iv) SmartDock, an experimentally validated docking protocol based on machine learning from PDB target-ligand interactions, offering further improved performance.
