InVixa is a biopharmaceutical startup developing inhaled statins for the treatment of COVID-19, which is caused by SARS-CoV-2 infection and typically manifests as severe lung disease that can progress to acute respiratory failure. Our initial focus will be on treating hospitalized patients with our novel inhaled statin formulation to prevent the progression to respiratory failure, similar to what we currently do for influenza, while also developing methods to treat outpatients with mild symptoms.
