Basic Information

Neuropathix is a biopharmaceutical medical company dedicated to developing proprietary and patented novel single-agent therapeutic molecules for patients with unmet medical needs suffering from neurodegenerative diseases, including chemotherapy-induced peripheral neuropathy (CIPN), a chronic neuropathy caused by toxic chemotherapeutic agents; hepatic encephalopathy (HE), a neurotoxic brain-liver disease caused by excessive ammonia and ethanol concentrations in the brain; mild traumatic brain injury (mTBI), a condition associated with single and repetitive impact injuries; and chronic traumatic encephalopathy (CTE), a disease associated with highly repetitive impact injuries in professional and amateur sports. Atopidine™, a novel patented small molecule developed by Neuropathix, has demonstrated protective and anti-inflammatory properties in preclinical testing. The same studies indicate that it outperforms cannabidiol (CBD) in preventing inflammation responses related to UVB radiation, including cytokines TNF-α, IL-1b, and IL-6. KLS-13019, Neuropathix’s leading patented investigational novel single-agent therapeutic product, has the potential to treat a range of neurodegenerative and neuropathic pain conditions, starting with chemotherapy-induced peripheral neuropathy (CIPN). Neither KLS-13019 nor Atopidine™ has been reviewed or approved for patient use by the U.S. Food and Drug Administration (FDA) or any other health authority worldwide. FDA-approved studies have not yet confirmed their safety and efficacy. The company's proprietary family of KLS molecules focuses on treating diseases associated with oxidative stress, such as HE, chronic pain caused by neuropathies like CIPN, and neurodegenerative diseases like CTE.
