Huatai Zijin conducts direct investment with its own funds, and its business scope is limited to equity investment, engaging in non-securities equity investment activities and related consulting services. On January 6, 2011, Huatai Securities announced that it would increase the capital of its direct investment subsidiary, Huatai Zijin. After this capital increase, the registered capital of Huatai Zijin will be increased from 200 million yuan to 500 million yuan. Its business scope will be changed from equity investment to equity investment, financial advisory services for equity investment, investing idle capital into government bonds, investment-grade corporate bonds, money market funds, central bank bills, and other low-risk, highly liquid securities that are legally publicly issued, as well as collective asset management plans and special asset management plans approved by securities companies.
