Hemera Biosciences' sole mission is to preserve vision for patients with age-related macular degeneration (AMD) using gene therapy. As physicians and scientists, Hemera Biosciences is frustrated by the inability to provide treatment for patients with macular degeneration. Hemera Biosciences has undertaken this mission by developing a gene therapy called HMR59 to maintain patients' vision.Currently, HMR59 is in FDA clinical trial testing as a one-time treatment for both dry and wet forms of AMD.
