Bottmedical

Bottmedical Founded in May 2019, Bottmedical is a Swiss deep-tech spin-off from the University of Basel, based on an intellectual property portfolio related to polymer nanotechnology, with two doctoral students acquiring the results of the research. Bottmedical focuses on sustainable utilization at each stage of development. It aims to raise awareness about body- and environment-friendly materials and strengthen confidence in bio-based raw materials. Bottmedical plans to use wood-based materials to reduce microplastic strain in the human body. First, we envision disrupting the clear aligner therapy market with a breakthrough bio-based material system to achieve body-friendly and comfortable teeth alignment. Efforts are underway to launch an innovative solution for snoring and sleep apnea treatment by 2021.
