BrainEver

BrainEver is a biotechnology company focused on discovering and developing first-class therapies for the treatment of neurodegenerative diseases. BrainEver's innovative therapeutic strategy is the result of the work by Alain Prochiantz and his colleagues in brain development and physiology. They demonstrated that homeoproteins, initially identified as regulators of early development, remain active throughout life and control several neuronal functions, including epigenetic stability and metabolism. BrainEver hypothesizes that administering homeoproteins in patients can durably alter the physiological resilience of surviving neurons while enhancing their activity, thereby improving clinical symptoms. BrainEver is exploring different homeoproteins that may play important roles in various neurodegenerative disorders, with Engrailed 1 (BREN01) being the most advanced, applicable to the treatment of Parkinson’s disease.
