Mira-Dx was co-founded by Joanne Weidhaas, M.D., Ph.D., and Frank Slack, Ph.D. Their cutting-edge genetic research unveiled a new class of genetic biomarkers based on microRNA biology. Our mission is to apply these novel biomarkers to significantly enhance personalized treatment. Our biomarkers are germline mutations that disrupt microRNA target sites. We have been utilizing these biomarkers to better guide cancer therapies, including radiation, chemotherapy, and newly developed immunotherapies. We are able to address the daunting issue of treatment-induced toxicity using our biomarkers—a capability unmatched by other biomarkers.
