Day Zero Diagnostics, Inc. is developing a new diagnostic method that enables doctors to switch from broad-spectrum antibiotic treatment to targeted antibiotic treatment within 5 hours, as opposed to the current typical timeframe of 2-5 days. Unlike other molecular diagnostic methods that can only detect a small number of specific targets, DZD uses whole genome sequencing and our proprietary Keynome™ algorithm to identify a wide range of bacterial pathogens and their resistance characteristics within hours.
