Adaptilens

Adaptilens' mission is to bring to market an accommodative intraocular lens that mimics the human crystalline lens, allowing patients to have excellent near vision without the need for glasses or contact lenses. Adaptilens’ biomimetic design closely resembles the natural crystalline lens of the human body. Adaptilens enables the ciliary muscles within the eye to alter the shape of the lens, allowing the eye to naturally adapt and focus clearly on nearby objects. When the eye focuses on distant objects, the adaptive lens returns to its baseline elliptical shape, enabling the eye to see distant objects more clearly.
