Protomer is an engineered next-generation protein therapy capable of sensing molecular activators within the body. The company’s proprietary Molecular Engineering of Protein Sensors (MEPS) platform enables the development of therapeutic peptides and proteins with tunable activity that can be controlled using small molecules. Protomer has utilized this approach to develop a range of therapeutic candidates, including glucose-responsive insulin that can sense sugar levels in the blood and automatically activate as needed throughout the day. Protomer's chemically biology-based MEPS platform features rapid on and off capabilities for automatic control of peptide and protein activity.
