Ymir Genomics

Ymir Genomics is a biotechnology startup that provides new tools to facilitate the discovery of biomarkers from biofluids. Using these tools, we have discovered new biomarkers to combat human diseases. The company is dedicated to finding biomarkers for diagnosis and treatment. Its primary focus is on discovering easily measurable circulating RNA biomarkers in biofluids such as blood, saliva, and urine. We have developed a novel, rapid, and low-cost protocol for isolating extracellular RNA and proteins from urine, with yields higher than those of current commercial kits. Additionally, we have devised a new bioinformatics protocol capable of mining high-throughput sequencing data for both known and novel disease-related miRNAs. We are using our extracellular vesicle isolation protocol and our bioinformatics protocol to search for biomarkers related to prostate cancer and bladder cancer.
