Beijing Wantai Biological Pharmacy Enterprise Co., Ltd. (Abbreviation: WANTAI BioPharm) was established in 1991 and is a high-tech enterprise engaged in the research, development, and production of biodiagnostic reagents and vaccines. With the mission of "contributing to human health," the company is committed to transforming biotechnological achievements into high-quality products for the benefit of society. After years of relentless efforts, WANTAI BioPharm has become one of the major HIV diagnostic reagent production bases in the Asia-Pacific region, a well-known immunodiagnostic reagent production base in China, and a national demonstration base for the industrialization of biotechnology. The company owns seven subsidiaries, with product lines covering enzyme immunoassays, colloidal gold, chemiluminescence, nucleic acid testing, biochemistry, vaccines, and quality control materials, among others. In 2005, with the approval of the Ministry of Science and Technology, Beijing Wantai Biological Pharmacy Enterprise Co., Ltd., under the YS Group, jointly established the National Engineering and Technology Research Center for Infectious Disease Diagnostics and Vaccines (NIDVD) with Xiamen University. This center serves as an essential bridge between research and industrialization, acting as an incubator that effectively integrates relevant R&D achievements from across China and even internationally. It accelerates the speed at which diagnostic reagents and vaccine products reach the market, shortens the product transformation cycle, and enhances both social and economic benefits, significantly advancing China’s industry of infectious disease diagnostic reagents and vaccines.
