Basic Information
Calcilytix Therapeutics is a subsidiary of BridgeBio LLC Inc. (Nasdaq: BBIO). Calcilytix is a clinical-stage biopharmaceutical company focused on developing targeted therapies for diseases of calcium homeostasis. Calcilytix’s lead product candidate, encaleret, is an investigational oral small molecule designed to specifically inhibit the calcium-sensing receptor and is hypothesized to restore normal serum calcium levels and reduce urinary calcium. Calcilytix is led by a team of industry veterans who have been responsible for the development of over 30 molecules through initial Investigational New Drug (IND) applications and more than 10 approved drugs. Together with physicians and patients, we aim to develop a safe and effective treatment for individuals with hypoparathyroidism and ADH1. On September 21, 2020, biopharmaceutical company Calcilytix Therapeutics, Inc. announced the initiation of a Phase 2 single-center study of Encaleret (CLTX-305) in patients with ADH1, conducted at the National Institutes of Health.
