Stemson Therapeutics' mission is to provide patients with a genuine cure for hair loss by creating a net-new supply of follicles for patients. They have developed a revolutionary new technology at the Sanford Burnham Prebys Medical Discovery Institute, which harnesses the power of induced pluripotent stem cells (iPSC) to enable the creation of new dermal papilla suppliers, a key factor in hair follicle formation. Currently, Stemson's R&D efforts are primarily focused on developing optimized solutions suitable for human skin architecture within large animal models. Stemson's induced pluripotent stem cell (iPSC) technology can generate the cell types necessary to initiate hair follicle growth and has been successfully tested in small animal models.
