SteriLumen was founded in New York on December 8, 2016, with the purpose of developing, designing, and manufacturing disinfection systems to eliminate pathogens that may cause healthcare-associated infections ("HAIs"). The disinfection systems are mainly applied in hospitals, assisted living facilities, doctors' offices, walk-in clinics, as well as hotels, cruise ships, airplanes, schools, government buildings, commercial offices, and other facilities open to the public.SteriLumen has developed, designed, and manufactured a unique, patented automated disinfection system that can be embedded in certain bathroom fixtures, effectively reducing HAIs caused by viruses, bacteria, fungi, and other pathogens, including SARS-CoV-2, the virus causing COVID-19, and human coronaviruses.SteriLumen's disinfection system currently includes five product lines: (1) Disinfection backlight mirrors, which can replace ordinary mirrors and wall lamps above washbasins in public facility bathrooms; (2) Disinfection drainage devices; (3) Disinfection racks installed above sinks where there is insufficient space for a bathroom mirror or below existing bathroom mirrors; (4) Medicine disinfection cabinets with mirrors for home use; (5) Retrofit kits.
