Ion Beam Applications is a Belgian company dedicated to developing, manufacturing, and supporting medical devices and software solutions for cancer treatment in the healthcare industry. IBA is also active in the fields of sterilization and ionization. The company operates through two business units: the Pharmaceuticals unit (including radiopharmaceuticals) and the Equipment unit (including proton therapy, particle accelerators, and dosimetry). To date, more than 50% of proton therapy patients have been treated using IBA technology. The company has established the largest user community of proton therapy centers.
