Stempeutics Research is a late-stage life sciences company dedicated to the development and commercialization of novel therapies based on adult stem cells. In 2020, the Drug Controller General of India (DCGI) approved the marketing authorization of the Stempeucel® product for critical limb ischemia (CLI). Stempeucel® is the FIRST innovative stem cell-based biologic product to receive DCGI approval for commercial use in India. The marketing authorization covers CLI caused by Buerger's disease and CLI caused by atherosclerotic peripheral artery disease.
