Centrymed is an innovative enterprise dedicated to the research and development of targeted antibody drugs for malignant tumors and autoimmune diseases. The company was founded in Maryland, USA, in 2016, established Zhejiang Centrymed Biopharmaceutical Co., Ltd. in Hangzhou in 2017, and underwent a reorganization in 2018, making the U.S. company a wholly-owned subsidiary of Zhejiang Centrymed. Since then, the company has entered a rapid development phase, establishing a comprehensive innovative biopharmaceutical R&D system with its U.S. R&D center as the leader and the Hangzhou base as the support. The company has independently constructed four ultra-large IgM antibody libraries, two fully proprietary intellectual property HBiBody and proBibody bispecific antibody platforms, and a forward-looking antibody drug indication animal screening system. Based on these innovative technology platforms, more than 20 single/dual antibody drugs at various stages have been successfully developed, targeting multiple solid tumors, hematologic malignancies, and immune diseases. In 2021, three source-innovative single/dual antibody products will enter clinical development: DNV3 Injection, a Class I new drug and immune checkpoint inhibitor monoclonal antibody, intended for advanced/metastatic solid tumors and lymphoma; SMET12 Injection, a bispecific antibody that could become a breakthrough in the treatment of solid tumors from blood cancers using existing CD3 bispecific antibodies, intended for treating EGFR high-expression advanced solid tumors; CMD003 Monoclonal Antibody, a product capable of fine-tuning immune responses, used for autoimmune diseases including multiple sclerosis. These product pipelines, with significant global commercial value and functional differentiation, will be able to avoid homogenized competition with other companies and possess strong competitiveness in the future market.
