Basic Information
Fibralign is a spin-off company from Stanford that produces innovative therapeutic medical devices to address significant unmet medical needs. The company has launched its first product, the BioBridge® Collagen Matrix, which is designed to address secondary lymphedema, a currently incurable global chronic condition. Fibralign has already begun commercial sales of BioBridge in the United States and has demonstrated clinical benefits* in patients treated for this condition. BioBridge recently received CE marking as a Class III device for soft tissue repair, specifically for lymphatic soft tissue repair. Additionally, Fibralign has developed promising new products based on its proprietary Nanoweave® scaffold platform, which are currently in the preclinical stage and can be tailored for various high-value applications. The nanoweaving technology provides a method for assembling scaffolds in a way that mimics the structure of human tissues and directly influences cell behavior. Using commercially available medical-grade collagen, the performance of Nanoweave ensures that the resulting medical devices are naturally accepted by adjacent tissues, supporting the body’s regenerative repair and maintenance processes. The company has established GMP production (certified to ISO 13485:2016) at its facility in Union City, California.
