Biological E Ltd, established in 1953, is a biologics company that produces liver extracts and anticoagulants. To transition from treating diseases to preventing them, Biological E. Limited founded its biotechnology division (now the vaccines and biologics division) in 1962 and began large-scale production of the DPT vaccine.
