Vita Therapeutics is a cell engineering company dedicated to developing life-changing therapies. It was founded in 2019 by Douglas Falk and Dr. Peter Andersen outside of Johns Hopkins University. The company uses induced pluripotent stem cell (iPSC) technology to engineer specific cell types to replace defective cells in patients. Vita Therapeutics' lead product, VTA-110, has been granted Orphan Drug Designation (ODD) by the U.S. Food and Drug Administration (FDA). This novel regenerative therapy is designed to treat Duchenne Muscular Dystrophy (DMD).
