Quirem Medical is an emerging medical device company with the mission to develop next-generation microspheres for targeted treatment of liver malignancies.Quirem Medical B.V., a spin-off from the University Medical Center Utrecht (UMCU), is dedicated to the commercialization, production, and distribution of a novel radioembolization microsphere based on the isotope hol, named QuiremSpheres®. QuiremSpheres® received CE mark approval in April 2015 and is currently available in select European markets. Radioembolization is an effective treatment for advanced unresectable liver tumors. Quirem Medical believes that the unique imaging capabilities of microspheres can further enhance treatment outcomes by enabling personalized treatment plans for patients.Quirem Medical aims to provide real-time, image-guided, personalized radioembolization therapy to improve patient prognosis and reduce barriers to adopting radioembolization for cancer treatment.
