PAION AG is a publicly listed specialty pharmaceutical company focused on the development of innovative drugs for use in outpatient and hospital-based sedation, anesthesia, and critical care settings, as well as their commercialization. PAION's lead compound is remimazolam, an intravenous, ultra-short-acting, and controllable benzodiazepine sedative/anesthetic drug candidate. PAION has completed clinical development in the United States for procedural sedation and is currently focusing on the development of remimazolam for general anesthesia indications outside the United States.
