North Inc. was founded in 2012, initially focusing on developing bracelet input devices based on muscle electrical signals. Later, it shifted its focus to Focals AR glasses. The company is building human-centered technology and discreetly integrating it into the fundamental aspects of everyday life. To date, North has launched only one product—Myo. Myo primarily uses the electrical activity in arm muscles to control devices such as drones, computers, and smartphones. With Myo, Thalmic Labs created an entirely new type of sensor from scratch, achieving a breakthrough in gesture recognition and turning science fiction into reality for thousands of customers across more than 150 countries.
