OvaScience is developing a method to capture mitochondria from a mother’s own ovarian stem cells and inject them together with sperm into eggs during in vitro fertilization (IVF) procedures. The goal is to improve egg quality and increase the success rate of IVF.The second treatment OvaScience is working on involves using ovarian stem cells from women to produce new eggs.
