ReCor Medical is a medical device company that designs and manufactures the Paradise® System, a proprietary ultrasound ablation system for renal denervation (RDN). RDN represents a new potential treatment for hypertension, one of the most prevalent medical conditions. The system's endovascular catheter combines water-based cooling protection of the renal artery with high-intensity ultrasound energy to ablate the renal nerves, thereby eliminating the surrounding nerves. To date, the Paradise System has been studied in clinical trials involving approximately 300 patients. The Paradise System has been approved for sale in the European Union with the CE mark but is not approved for sale in the United States.
