Basic Information
Cosman Medical offers a wide range of radiofrequency (RF) generators, electrodes, and cannulas for neurosurgical procedures and pain management in interventional anesthesia and podiatry. Radiofrequency (RF) neuroablation is a versatile medical technique with a 60-year history in the medical field. It can be used to treat chronic back and neck pain, including facet joint dysfunction, low back pain, sciatica, nerve impingement, disc dysfunction, sacroiliac joint dysfunction, headaches, postoperative pain, complex regional pain syndrome (CRPS), and reflex sympathetic dystrophy (RSD). It is also effective for treating severe refractory pain, such as pain caused by advanced cancer (cordotomy), nerve root avulsion injuries (DREZ and caudal DREZ nuclei), and trigeminal neuralgia (PSR). In podiatry, RF is used to treat recalcitrant pain caused by conditions like plantar fasciitis and Morton’s neuroma affecting the foot, heel, and ankle. In functional neurosurgery, RF can be applied to treat movement disorders such as Parkinson’s disease, essential tremor, and spasticity.
