Oncorus Develops Next-Generation Immunotherapy Platforms to Treat Cancer: Its oncolytic virus immunotherapy platform is designed to engineer viruses capable of entering tumor cells, replicating within them, and causing the tumor cells to burst. This process simultaneously activates the immune system to eliminate any remaining cancer cells. Currently, Oncorus is developing an oncolytic herpes simplex virus primarily targeting highly malignant and aggressive tumors such as glioblastoma multiforme (GBM).
