Chengdu Zenitar Biomedical Technology Co., Ltd. was established in 2019 as a biopharmaceutical technology company specializing in innovative drug research and industrialization. As of January 2025, it has completed its B+ round of financing. Backed by the integrated industry-academia-research resources of the National Key Laboratory of Biological Therapy at West China Hospital of Sichuan University, and supported by a top-tier team of expert technologists, Zenitar has built a comprehensive new drug R&D system. Its in-house R&D capabilities span target research and mechanism validation, drug molecular design, preclinical evaluation, CMC research, clinical trial design and execution, and new drug registration. The company has created a distinctive innovative drug discovery platform. Zenitar has been recognized as a National High-tech Enterprise, a "Specialized, Refined, Unique, and Innovative" SME in Sichuan Province, a high-level "Four Talents" enterprise in Chengdu High-Tech Zone, a 2021 Chinese Nezha Enterprise, and a Chengdu Municipal Enterprise Technology Center. Additionally, it was listed among China's Potential Unicorn Enterprises for three consecutive years from 2022 to 2024. As of 2024, Zenitar has received support from eight key projects, including the National "13th Five-Year Plan" Major New Drug Creation Program, the National Pilot Demonstration Project for the Transfer and Transformation of New Drug Innovation Achievements, sub-projects under the National Key R&D Program, Sichuan Province’s "14th Five-Year Plan" Major Science and Technology Projects for Life and Health, and key projects in Chengdu. The company's core products, Pimodivir Mesylate for Injection and Flunotinib Maleate Tablets, have been included in the National Medical Center’s Innovative Drug Development Funding Program. Focusing on malignant tumors, inflammation and autoimmune diseases, and central nervous system disorders, Zenitar is committed to discovering, developing, and commercializing First-in-Class (FIC) and Best-in-Class (BIC) innovative drugs to address significant unmet clinical needs through differentiated strategies. Currently, the company has seven Class I new drugs in its pipeline, three of which have entered clinical development stages: one in a pivotal Phase III clinical trial, with over ten indications in Phase II studies.
