Stanford Medicine X is a catalyst for new ideas about the future of medicine and health care. The initiative explores how emerging technologies can advance medical practice, improve health, and empower patients to actively participate in their own care. “X” signifies encouragement to think beyond numbers and trends—it represents the infinite possibilities of current and future information technology to enhance health. Under the guidance of Dr. Larry Chu, associate professor of anesthesia, Medicine X is a project of Stanford University’s AIM Lab.
