Horama has developed gene therapies for rare hereditary eye diseases to improve or restore patient autonomy and reduce societal healthcare costs. Horama aims to become one of the key players in the field of ophthalmic gene therapy. At HORAMA, we believe that gene therapy can cure a wide range of genetic disorders. Our initial focus is on rare retinal dystrophies, with our primary clinical program targeting patients with mutations in the PDE6B gene, which causes progressive vision loss in children and adults, ultimately leading to blindness. Our team is pushing the boundaries of gene therapy by advancing next-generation delivery platforms that will enhance the efficacy and coverage of gene transfer to address multiple diseases.
