XaTek

XaTek Inc. is a privately held clinical-stage diagnostic device company. XaTek's ClotChip™ device is a handheld point-of-care global assessment method used to evaluate the hemostasis process. ClotChip is independent of the cause of any coagulation defect, thus occupying a unique position to meet the urgent needs of many different clinical markets. The XaTek device is sensitive to the entire hemostasis process, including platelet disorders. XaTek will first target markets with urgent clinical needs and no available point-of-care diagnostic solutions. The emerging class of anticoagulant drugs, known as target-specific oral anticoagulants (Xa factor inhibitors), will be the first to address drug-induced bleeding issues. The first congenital bleeding disorder that XaTek will pursue is rare Hemophilia A and B. The introduction of XaTek's ClotChip™ sensor will revolutionize the clinical management of these two medical conditions.
