Juncell Therapeutics, founded in 2019, is committed to the development of innovative drugs and therapies based on Tumor-infiltrating Lymphocytes (TIL). The company has been recognized as a National High-tech Enterprise and a Shanghai-based specialized and new small and medium-sized enterprise. It has received the "Shanghai May 1 Labor Medal" and was selected as the only TIL therapy company in the Ministry of Science and Technology's Disruptive Technology Innovation Project Library. Juncell Therapeutics has established world-leading DeepTIL® and NovaGMP® technology platforms, developing a series of first-in-class or best-in-class natural TIL and genetically modified TIL pipelines. GC101, the world’s first natural TIL therapy that does not require lymphodepletion or IL-2 injection, is currently in a pivotal Phase II clinical trial, while GC203, the world’s first non-viral vector genetically modified TIL therapy, is in Phase I clinical trials. Both have shown excellent clinical efficacy and safety in treating various advanced solid tumors, with clinical progress leading in China. Clinical research data have been published in authoritative international academic journals and top academic conferences such as J Immunother Cancer, BMC Medicine, ASCO, and ESMO. The company has completed four rounds of financing, supported by well-known domestic biopharmaceutical funds. A 3000 m² high-standard hardware platform (including a 2000 m² GMP-grade production workshop and quality control laboratory) has been built in Nanxiang, Jiading, along with a 16,000 m² TIL cell industrialization base in Anting, Jiading, which is currently the largest designed capacity, highest construction standard, and most intelligent facility globally for TIL cells. The company has received funding from eight national or provincial-level special projects, with core technologies covered by over 50 Chinese invention patents and international PCT applications. As the lead organization, Juncell Therapeutics has formulated China’s first TIL group standard and TIL industry white paper, guiding the development of the TIL sector.
